In 2024, we made it official: Gijs Albada Jelgersma and Jos Wetters became Uptown Real Estate & Investment Management. Uptown manages and invests (risk-bearing) in the (re)development of mainly office and logistics real estate. In November 2024, together with our investment partner Indigo Invest, we made our latest acquisition: Frederiksplein 42. An office building full of character in the heart of Amsterdam that is ready for a new, sustainable future. The strength of Uptown lies in how we complement each other. Two knowledgeable professionals with diverse backgrounds, complimentary skills and personal qualities. The fact that we want to create 'special places' is the red thread that connects us. But the way in which we do that makes us unique.

Jos is an experienced building and area developer who makes places more beautiful and better. He understands the unique need of every assignment and tailors his approach accordingly. Jos is renowned in the industry for overcoming any obstacle and for simply "getting things done". With his administrative, legal and real estate background, he adds value in many ways. Jos is a master of navigating complexity, especially at the intersection of public and private. He couples an analytical mindset with a tenacity to ensure we're able to consistently exceed expectations.

In addition to their love for beautiful projects, Jos and Gijs also share a love for cycling. They met on the pedals. Their passion for cycling is also reflected in Uptown. Whilst novice cyclists need to keep their distance, experienced riders understand the power of riding close together. They think as one, are alert to opportunities, trust each other and persevere no matter the challenge ahead. But above all... they enjoy the ride.
